About This Work
A Little Light is a dreamy contemporary landscape depicting a solitary figure standing beside a quiet lake beneath a star-filled night sky.
A crescent moon hangs above a forest of tall evergreens, while shades of blue, violet and soft pink dissolve into one another across the sky. The still water mirrors the trees and luminous sky, creating a sense of quiet reflection.
At the edge of the lake, a small figure holds a beam of light toward the darkness. The figure becomes the emotional centre of the work—small against the vast landscape, yet carrying a light of her own.
The artwork explores the feeling of moving forward when the destination is unknown. The light can be interpreted as hope, curiosity, courage or simply the small sense of direction we carry within ourselves.
Rather than telling one fixed story, the artwork invites the viewer to imagine their own journey.
